What doesn’t need to be overdone shouldn’t be overthought. This series is about distilling things down. A old canvas that carries its own story, a handful of markers, and a steady hand. Some of the most satisfying pieces I’ve made came from this simple approach. Alternatively, 200 tubes of paint laying around while trying to find the right tone and stroke can be a monumental task, often resulting in the art distilling me down but with persistence I’ve always enjoyed the outcome.
